TEHRAN – The Popular Front of Islamic Revolution Forces, aka JAMNA, in an announcement on Tuesday thanked Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf for stepping down from the presidential race in favor of Ebrahim Raisi, Mehr reported.

“The exemplary vision of Qlaibaf” said JAMNA, “was a unifying act for those loyal to the Islamic system.” 

Also, Mohammad Reza Bahonar, secretary general of the Followers of the Line of Imam and Leadership, praised Qalibaf for his decision, saying “Qlaibaf was under no duty to step aside.”
